Harp Reflections

from Ruminations by Pamela J. Marshall, composer

/

about

(2011) The harpistic and clarinet sounds, with occasional slight distortion, reflect each other in many ways through different episodes: canon, inversion, unison. It was fun to write for harp sounds without worrying about the chromatic limitations of a real harp. An expansive G major ending brings the music to a meditative, rippling stillness.
